Bhujodi Potli Bag

When our friends at The Artisan Shop connected us to the bhujodi weavers making beautiful shawls with embroidery and mirror work, we jumped at the opportunity to design a few ready-to-wear pieces using the traditional textiles. After cutting our tunic dresses and dusters with beautiful bhujodi, we had plenty of scraps that we didn’t want to waste. Our partners, the Saheli Women, meticulously crafted these drawstring pouches from spliced bhujodi, as a little something extra for us. All artisans have determined their own wages for both the raw materials and the stitching of these items.
